College Visits & Career Presentations

for the 2024-2025 Schoolyear

*We are happy to announce that MANY visits will be In-Person!*

The Torrance High School College and Career Center looks forward to hosting College representatives and Career / Military Speakers!

​

Visits are scheduled at TUTORIAL, LUNCH or AFTER SCHOOL and

ALL GRADE LEVELS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND!

MILITARY is ON-CAMPUS at LUNCH in front of the LIBRARY

All COLLEGE visits/presentations will be scheduled through Naviance

  • Once you have registered for a presentation/ workshop on Naviance:

    • Virtual Visits will have a Meeting Link Provided after registration.

    • Any "In-person" visits will take place in the College & Career Center, Room A106.

What happens to your application after you've applied?
UC MERCED - The Life of a College Application

What you should be doing NOW... â€‹â€‹

  1. Start/Finish your College Apps... Some are still open!

    • UC's:  Riverside​ ONLY

    • Cal States - MOST are still open (Check HERE)

    • Most Private Colleges are open

    • El Camino College (Summer 2025 is open, Fall opening soon!)

  2. Monitor your EMAILS and/or PORTALS

    • Both​ should be checked at least once a week!

    • These are the only ways the college will communicate with you after you have submitted your application.

  3. Apply for Financial Aid! Due March 2nd

    • FAFSA & Dream Act Opened on DECEMBER 1st​

      • You may also be required to complete a CSS Profile.

  4. Check in with Mrs. Mendoza for more tips!
